Readers of Content,

For November we're thrilled to be heading back to Farm. One in Prospect Heights, where we're welcoming an all-star lineup featuring Kevin Nguyen, Katie Yee, and Megha Majumdar. We hope you'll join us on November 10th!

Katie Yee is a writer from Brooklyn. She has received fellowships from the Center for Fiction, the Asian American Writers' Workshop, and Kundiman. Her work has appeared in the Los Angeles Review of Books,  No Tokens, The Believer, the Washington Square Review, Triangle House, Epiphany, and Literary Hub. By day, she works at the Brooklyn Museum. By night, she writes, usually under the watch of her judgmental rescue dog, Ollie.

Kevin Nguyen is an author and magazine editor based in Brooklyn, NY. His first novel, New Waves, was published by One World in 2020 and praised in The New York Times Book Review, The New Yorker, and The Los Angeles Times. Mỹ Documents was published by One World in 2025. Esquire, Time, and The New Yorker listed it as one of the best books of 2025. Nguyen has also published features, essays, and criticism in The New York Times Magazine, New York Magazine, The Atlantic, The Paris Review, The New Republic, The Awl, Grantland, and elsewhere.

Megha Majumdar is the author of the novel A Guardian and a Thief, which was named a finalist for the National Book Award and Kirkus Prize, as well as an Oprah’s Book Club selection. Her first book, the New York Times bestselling novel A Burning, was nominated for the National Book Award, the National Book Critics Circle's John Leonard Prize, and the American Library Association's Andrew Carnegie Medal. In India, it won a Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar. It was named one of the best books of the year by media including The Washington Post, The New York Times, NPR, The Atlantic, Vogue, and TIME Magazine. Her work has been supported by the Whiting, Civitella Ranieri, and Hawthornden foundations. Born and raised in Kolkata, India, she now lives in New York.

Each ticket includes three small dishes inspired by the passages, and one complimentary drink. Additional drinks will be available for purchase.

Our friends Sammi and Olivia of Cocktails in Color will be mixing up cocktails inspired by our three authors' books, so you'll want to make room for a couple! And our buddies at McNally Jackson will be with us selling books, so come ready to pick up a few copies.

We do have a handful of seats reserved for sliding-scale admission to keep these events as financially accessible as possible. Please let us know if this ticket price is prohibitive for you and we’ll find a way to get you a seat at the table. These sliding scale seats are limited, so please be thoughtful about your resources and needs when making a request.

For more information on physical accessibility at Farm. One or any other questions, please write us at biscuits@tablesofcontents.org.

We can accommodate gluten-free and vegetarian diets with advance notice. If you have other restrictions or aversions you are of course still encouraged to attend, you just may not be able to partake in every course. Please be sure to notify us of any serious allergies in advance and remind us at the event.

Doors will open at 6:45 so feel free to come a few minutes early to grab a drink and get settled. See you all November 10th at Farm. One!
