Succulent Iceplant

Mesembryanthemum crystallinum

A sparkling surface, lush, bursting crunch and mild taste

An invasive species in California and the Mediterranean, the iceplant is in fact an edible green. Used in tea or as an added salad green, the iceplant receives its name from the small fibers on the leaf and stem that cause it to sparkle in light.
